Heartland School of Leadership and Development is committed to empowering people to create eternal impact in the local church and marketplace through spiritual development, experiential learning, affordable, accredited, and accessible higher education.
Our Vision
To create a supportive environment where young adults can be educated, equipped, and empowered to expand the Kingdom of God in a complex and changing world.
To offer students, from high school graduates to age 25, a unique learning opportunity by partnering with higher education institutions and other community stakeholders. These partnerships will provide:

→ Hands-On Experiential Learning Opportunities
→ Traditional and Non-Traditional Mentoring and Counseling Services
→ Biblically and Experientially-Based Leadership
→ Spiritual Development Training
We strive to develop students to live a life that builds character, develops competency, and encourages them to walk in their spiritual gifts, to make the greatest eternal impact in the local church and within the marketplace.
What You Will Experience
Our goal is to help every student reach their full potential in a supportive learning environment by providing them with
→ A Leadership and Development Certificate from HSLD in their chosen ministry area
→ College credits for classes taught by HSLD professors/instructors
→ An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University or a certification
→ Training, mentoring, and hands-on experience in ministry and academics to prepare them for full-time ministry or a marketplace career in their chosen calling/purpose
